Mission Motorsport Fundraiser
On the 29th April the Porsche Club GB 991 register along with many 991 & Porsche owners attended our ‘Porsche and Pork’ event. The event was dedicated to supporting our chosen Charity ‘Mission Motorsport’ which aids the recovery and rehabilitation of those affected by military operations. We decided as we had invited the 991 register along it would be fun to see how many of the 991 models which we could attract and we did okay! ON the day we managed to get on display: 991 Cup car, 991 R, 991 GT3RS, 991 50th Anniversary, 991 GTS, 991 GTS Targa, 991 Turbo S cabriolet and a 991 Turbo S Coupe.
Part of the fund raiser was the opportunity to guess the actual weight of the 991 Cup car weight on our Beissbarth geometry equipment, the winner of the competition was to be given a free detail using Kenolon Ceramic paint protection supplied and applied by our in house detailer. The winner was actually a Mr Hunter who recently purchased a stunning 996 and with great generosity he suggested we auctioned the prize, to further help Mission Motorsport. The auction winner, Mr Tibbetts was extremely charitable with his final bid and as such claimed the prize! A massive thank you to all who attended, including Adam Marchant-Wincott who is the Head of Vocation & Training for MM. His talk was both engaging and eye opening to the cause our attendees were supporting. A final thank you to all of the owners of the 991’s on display:
Nick & Sandra House
