Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 – The wet weather trackday tyre is here!

The long-awaited Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tyres are here! An evolution to the Pilot Sport 4 S, the S 5 brings some major upgrades that only advance what is already regarded as some of the best road-going tires available today! The dual sport tread design has been developed with the outside of the tyre designed for maximised grip in dry situations and improved feedback. Meanwhile the inside of the tyre features deeper grooves for improved water displacement in wet conditions.

The compound used on the outer edge of the Pilot Sport S 5 is similar to that of a Michelin Cup 2, meaning it offers fantastic grip whilst cornering and when combined with the inside deeper tread, it allows for the driver to get all the benefits, whether the conditions are wet or dry. The S 5 is packed with practical features, one of the new ones being the wear indicators that make the level of tire depth that much clearer especially after a strenuous track day.
