The 997 has always been a loved generation of 911, with the cars being made between 2004 and 2011. Given they are 14 years or older, some drivers find the original factory suspension way past its best, causing an unsettled ride, various strange noises, and generally wholly handling. The last thing you want in a Porsche!

So, when your Porsche’s suspension is in need of an overhaul, rather than just going for the OEM option, why not make the 997 sharper than when it was brand new? Over the OEM equipment, the KW products are obviously far more modern with their damper technology to allow incredible ride control, but their other massive benefit is that they are fully adjustable (ride height, bump and rebound, etc) to suit drivers’ tastes.

KW have been experts in the manufacture of suspension components for over 30 years. Having built suspension setups for countless legendary vehicles, including multiple AMG Mercedes Black Series cars, BMW Motorsport, Brabus, Lamborghini Squadra Corse and of course, Manthey.

In our latest video with KW Automotive, we look over their 997 project car that has been subject to a complete suspension overhaul featuring all KW components. The setup is based around the KW Variant 3, which is specifically tuned for the optimum road driving experience, “race technology for the road”.

Check out our video for a full in in-depth look into these modifications, the process to install and the real-world impact of a suspension refresh like this:
