992.1 GT3 RS MR – Ultraviolet

This Paint to Sample (PTS) Ultraviolet 992.1 GT3 RS MR is our first PTS 992 GT3 RS to receive a full Manthey conversion. And what a fantastic colour to start with!

The car came to us from Ireland for the complete conversion, arriving with some choice upgrades such as an extensive carbon kit to replace much of the exterior plastics. Against that unmistakable Ultraviolet paintwork, the additional carbon works brilliantly, giving the RS MR an even more purposeful look while tying in naturally with the extensive carbon components of the Manthey package.

Of course, the Manthey Kit is about considerably more than making a GT3 RS look even more dramatic. Developed specifically to enhance the car’s performance on track, the package brings together a comprehensive suite of aerodynamic, suspension and braking upgrades. The heavily-revised aerodynamic package includes a larger front lip, a split DRS rear wing with larger end plates, an extended rear diffuser with carbon blades and carbon fibre rear aero discs. Together, these changes increase downforce by around 20% without adding any drag, with the 992.1 GT3 RS Manthey capable of producing more than 1,000kg of downforce at 177 mph.

Underneath, the Manthey coilover suspension is designed to work with that additional aerodynamic load, with spring rates increased by 30% at the front and 15% at the rear. The result is a car designed to provide even greater stability, precision and confidence when the pace really starts to increase. The kit also brings braking upgrades, including braided brake lines for a more reliable pedal feel and Manthey high-performance pads.

To make sure the soundtrack matches the visual presence, this GT3 RS has also been fitted with a JCR race pipe, giving the naturally aspirated flat-six an even more aggressive voice. The result is a 992.1 GT3 RS that looks every bit as serious as it sounds, with the performance hardware to back it up.

For additional practicality, the client also opted to have the Champion Motorsport 992 GT3 RS MR digital rearview mirror installed. This overcomes the issue of losing a rear window by swapping the mirror and a screen that connects to a camera unit attached on the rear deck, under the new carbon fiber sharkfin.

Ultraviolet was already a pretty special colour for a GT3 RS. Add a full Manthey conversion, a serious amount of carbon fibre and a JCR race pipe, and we think this particular RS has taken things to another level!
