Brands Hatch Festival of Porsche

Sunday the 2nd of September saw the return of the Brands Hatch Festival of Porsche hosted by the Porsche Club Great Britain. The weekend is superb mixture of racing, parade laps, trade stands and Porsche GB with their offerings of Stuttgart’s latest metal. RPM Technik had a stand at the last festival in 2014. The event is well attended & a particular favourite of ours, so we booked early in the year to ensure we were ready.

For the first time we decided a purpose built unit would be the most efficient way to display the business, as it had the facility to display video, a seating area to conduct more in depth chats with new customers and enough of an area to put out our newly acquired display boards. The team set up on the Saturday evening in readiness for what we guessed maybe a busy Sunday, the weather forecast was looking perfect & attendance was bound to be high. Sunday started very early & we were on the stand at 7.30 with customers wandering around and starting to ask questions about the three cars on display from minute one. Unbelievably the team were busy for pretty much 10 hours straight with both fresh enquiries and meeting some known faces for a well needed catch up!

The cars on display were obviously the stars of the show. The ex RPM owned GT4 Clubsport looking resplendent. The 996 CSR Evo pulled a big crowd due to its recent high praise and multiple magazine front covers. We were also lucky enough to be able to display for the first time the 964 Restomod built by us in 2016, the car always draws attention not least due its paint colour but also the sublime level of detail that the car was commissioned and built to.

We would like to say a massive thank you to Nick Fitch for the loan of the 964 Restomod, Nick Trott for the loan of the GT4, all our staff for their efforts both on the stand and behind the scenes and equally thanks to everyone who came to visit us on the stand.

RPM Technik will be looking to attending plenty more shows and festivals throughout 2019, so we will keep you posted through our social media of dates going forwards.
